NEW BLOG.....already?

I know it seems I just started in this crazy world of blogging, and now I am launching my 2nd blog and working out some logo details...I cant wait, as I am clearly impatient, but love that it is coming together at its own pace.
Now that I have collection and brands for other projects, I look forward to one logo that really engulfs my style and encompasses the brands and projects therein. A lot of editing lately side by side with album and book making. I will be updating somewhat behind the scenes and then drawing interest in the next week or so when things calm down and get a chance to get ready for some attention. :) I am comforted when I realize there are many other busy artists that find it difficult to keep up with all the social networking, emailing, family, blogging, was family really 3rd here....lets start over, family, shooting, editing, uploading, importing and exporting, watermarking, cd burning, album designing, cleaning, basic needs, personal projects, more editing....you get the idea. Its TOUGH. Think about how it takes you SO long to get your family pics on facebook or another profile, imagine that like 5 times a week on top of everything.
I do feel once I get the new blog designwise where I want it. I will have the opp to cover a few topics of interest, personal projects open for collaboration and a little personal history that contributes to my work and perspective. I think that might be quite nice.
All the best and off to get rest. ~aimee

Lovebirds.....just in.

After one whole week of going thru archived photos and organizing engagement pics and wedding faves for my first wedding collection catalog...it has arrived. As most branding books advise, dont search too hard for your "brand" as it will find you. :) Well, it did....I have always had the engagement and couple section of my site labeled "lovebirds" and then I came upon some bird pics I recently took here in Norman, and it practically birthed itself. I know birthed is kind of a weird word...maybe emerged is better. So from here, I developed the wedding collection, entitled lovebirds. I am happy to share it with you and am now focusing on the lifestyle portion of the business as well....For those who are coming from the site, aimeeadamsphoto.com is still under construction, BEAR with me. I am pulling it all together and look to having the NEW blog up next week as I get 2 lovebird collections (proofed/edited/mailed) out this week, and a Ready.Set.Smile client....which will nearly be impossible, because ALL the children were AMAzing. Thanks for your interest...More soon.~aimee

the Thrailkills.....coming soon.

Remember this chic pair? Well they got hitched on May 1 and had a great reception at Old Towne Plaza here in Normantown.....here is the CD cover I printed for them....I think its pretty cute. We will be working out their slideshow this weekend and hopefully get them launched on the super improved blog...(fingers crossed) Cheers.

Dain Wedding: Finally.

i love the way hes reaching for her hand here and shes fixing her dress......real organic moments of life.... :)

So I was waiting for my new blog launch so that I could load these pics up larger for your happy viewing pleasure.....which is silly as I have PLenty of things to upload and discuss......never a dull moment in the life of Aimee:) Thanks for your patience.

Yes, this is Kim and Jamie, and they are The Dains! They are darling together and were super easy to work with. I love a lot of the hip new angles and ideas we were able to work out.

Back from the Big Apple.

This self portrait was taken on the beach at Coney Island while I was missing my family and enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face. I have decided to have a show over my Coney Island series as well as a few other photographic themes. These images will not be posted on my blog due to the importance to me and conflicted nature of commissioned work versus personal. As I have been involved with photography for many years now, I always felt it was important to stay connected with the history that photography has evolved from and the artists that paved the way. Diane Arbus has always been one of my favorites, she started out shooting the derelicts, outcasts and "freaks" on Coney Island. This venture to Coney Island that day was the quintessential moment for me to take a moment for myself, remember her struggles as she committed suicide, and to grow in every way possible, but mainly as an artist. I will be posting show details for later this year on my new blog.

So Ive been back from NYC, a personal adventure and sight workshop for 3 weeks now and am still looking to update the blog with the best of, I will be launching a new blog in the next couple of weeks and will save my NYC for the pops and launch on that one
WHat was I doing in the Big Apple you ask??...I shot personal work in Coney Island, an engagement shoot in the Meatpacking District, an art gallery opening night in Bushwick Brooklyn, a Jazz and Art Peripheral Media show and everything else in between. I must say it was more difficult than I thought to leave my family and roles at home and pack up my life on my back and venture out to subways and taxis and a Big City where everyone wears black and close-toed shoes. I am still the same girl that studied in Europe and practically backpacked barefoot from one border to the next, but that was nearly 10 years ago. What an eye opener? So...as I said I will save my recap for the new blog, cant wait! Just when you get one portal looking the way you like it, your peers and colleagues have to up the ante and make everyone look bad so we all have to do the switcheroo AGAIN. Bear with me as I tie up the loose ends to raise my own little bar....Cheers! ~aimee

You caught me!!

Yes, you caught me in the middle....in the middle of a WHOLE lotta projects, a WHOLE lotta sessions, A WHOLE lotta possibilities! Due to the awesome network with which I have been SO blessedly connected, I am busy in several different ways. Those who know me know I like to change it up and work several different projects, and I have been thrilled with the projects I am trying to pioneer forward and those that are SO LOVE based, they are coming to fruition. Again, another SO........excuses, excuses, you caught me in the middle of re-branding. We should have Aimee Adams Photo and Ready.Set.Smile. and our Corporate site all linked into ONE clean LIVE BIG brand! I will have help with this (among other things), but in the meantime, THANK you for helping me build this brand and work with some of THE coolest professionals stateside and my dear Bread and Butter VIP Clients who entrust their lifestyle catalogs with me. MAHALO! ~aimee
